WAINRIGHT HOUSE AND MUSEUM IS OPEN EVERY SATURDAY, 10:00 A.M. TO 2:00 P.M. AND SUNDAY, 1:00 TO 4:00 P.M.
EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK WHILE VISITING WHILE COVID RESTRICTIONS ARE IN PLACE.
There is no fee to visit and take a tour of the building which includes a history of the house and it’s influence on life in early Farmingdale.
Donations are gratefully accepted but are not required.
Last weekend to visit art exhibit
The one-woman art exhibit now on display, with works by local artist and teacher, CAROLYN TISCHER BARTLETT, will leave at the end of September. The museum will be open through Sunday, Sept. 20 (1 to 4 p.m.). Wainright will be closed the weekend of September 26-27.
The children’s art classes at Wainright will begin again when the Governor indicates it is okay to do so. In the meantime, we would like to thank CeCe Cavanaugh for volunteering to work with the children’s class in 2019. She was a good help in assisting our teacher, Carolyn Tischer Bartlett, during the fall session.
WAINRIGHT HOUSE AND MUSEUM WILL OPEN FOR THE SEASON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2020 WITH AN ART EXHIBIT FEATURING THE ARTWORK OF LOCAL ARTIST AND TEACHER, CAROLYN TISCHER BARTLETT.
WE WILL BE OPEN ON SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M. TO 2 P.M. AND ON SUNDAY FROM 12 NOON TO 4 P.M. IT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. VIEW THE ART AND ENJOY A TOUR OF THE MUSEUM, GUIDED BY OWNER, HISTORIAN, VIRGINIA WOOLLEY.
MASKS MUST BE WORN WHILE IN THE MUSEUM.
DONATIONS ARE WELCOME BUT NOT REQUIRED.
All classes and events for 2020 are TENTATIVE and subject to change as restrictions due to the COVID-19 virus are ordered.
Wainright will reopen for 2020 soon. Please check back for updated schedule. We are actively working on our 2020 plans and will post hard dates as soon as we have them. Thank you for your interest in our historic museum.
2019 GINGERBREAD HOUSES EXHIBIT
Local school classes and families will bring their fanciful gingerbread houses to Wainright from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. tonight, December 5th, for this year’s exhibit.
The Farmingdale Borough Annual Christmas Tree Lighting will take place at the corner of Asbury Avenue and Main Street at 6:00 p.m. Friday evening, December 6th. You can visit the gingerbread house exhibit before or after the tree lighting.
The exhibit will be open to the public
5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday evening, 12/6
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, 12/7 and
1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, 12/8
FREE OF CHARGE. Donations welcome.

CRAFT WEEKEND AT WAINRIGHT
WEEKEND CRAFT SHOW at the Wainright House Museum!
Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days. Local crafters/artisans will be on hand, selling their handmade items. RAIN OR SHINE. The event is to be held inside. There is no entry fee and the owner will be there to offer free tours of the historic house. Come take a step back in time and enjoy a visit in Farmingdale.

Wainright House Museum will host a CRAFTER’S WEEKEND Saturday, November 16th,
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, November 17th, 10 to 2 p.m.
RAIN OR SHINE. Show is inside the building.
Artisans will have handmade items to sell and there will be crafters working on items during the weekend.
There is no fee to visit and tours of the historic house will be available during your visit.
